Dyna Dynapar Worm Suspension (10ml) is an oral medication used to treat intestinal worm infections, particularly in children. It contains the active ingredient Albendazole, which is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic (anti-worm) agent. Albendazole works by inhibiting the worms’ ability to absorb sugar (glucose), which leads to a loss of energy and eventually causes the worms to die.
This suspension is commonly prescribed for infections caused by worms such as roundworms, hookworms, pinworms, and whipworms. It helps eliminate these parasites from the digestive system, relieving symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, fatigue, and disturbed appetite, which are often caused by worm infestations.
The medicine is given by mouth and is usually taken as a single dose, although sometimes a second dose may be required after a few weeks, depending on the type of worm and severity of the infection. The dosage is based on the child’s age and weight, and it’s important to follow the instructions given by a doctor or those on the packaging.
It is generally well tolerated, but mild side effects like nausea, headache, or stomach discomfort may occur. This medication should not be used without medical advice in very young children or in individuals with liver problems unless advised by a healthcare provider. As with any anti-parasitic treatment, maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation is important to prevent re-infection.
