The Microlife FR1MF1 is a non-contact infrared forehead thermometer designed to measure body temperature quickly and hygienically. It works by detecting the infrared heat emitted naturally from the surface of the forehead and then calculating the body temperature from that data. Because it doesn’t touch the skin, it reduces the risk of cross-infection, making it useful for families or medical environments.

The thermometer gives a reading within a second, and its built-in sensor ensures consistent and accurate results when used correctly. To use it, the device is held a short distance from the forehead—usually between one and three centimeters—and the measurement button is pressed. The result appears instantly on the digital display.

It often includes features such as a fever alarm, a memory function to store previous readings, and an illuminated screen for taking measurements in the dark. The thermometer can sometimes measure surface or room temperature as well, depending on the model setting.

Because it is a sensitive infrared device, it works best in a stable environment without strong air currents, direct sunlight, or extreme temperature changes. Proper calibration and correct distance from the forehead are important for reliable results.
